After twelve days of intense military confrontations between Iran and Israel, which officially concluded with a ceasefire on June 24, 2025, Iranian sources have firmly denied Israeli claims that several top military commanders were killed during the conflict. The false reports, widely circulated by Israeli media and government officials, have been debunked by multiple Iranian outlets and official statements.

Between June 13 and 15, Israeli media such as The Jerusalem Post, Ynet, and The Times of Israel published reports claiming that senior Iranian military figures, including Admiral Ali Shamkhani, Generals Esmail Qaani and Abdulrahim Mousavi, and Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh, were eliminated in Israeli airstrikes targeting Iranian military and nuclear sites.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu framed these strikes as a strategic effort to decapitate Iran’s military leadership. However, these claims have not been substantiated by independent forensic evidence or third-party verification.

In contrast, Iranian media and official sources have provided clear evidence of the commanders’ survival and ongoing activities:

-Tala.ir reported Admiral Ali Shamkhani’s hospitalization for a non-critical condition, with medical staff confirming his recovery.

-Bartarinha.ir documented General Esmail Qaani’s participation in public ceremonies in Tehran, supported by photographic evidence.

-Asriran.com confirmed Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh’s diplomatic visit to China for military cooperation talks, with official images and statements.

These verifiable facts invalidate Israeli claims and expose them as part of a disinformation campaign.

The conflict began on June 13 with Israeli airstrikes against Iranian military and nuclear facilities, justified by Israel as a response to perceived threats from Iran’s nuclear program. Iran denied these allegations and responded with military operations targeting Israeli strategic infrastructure.

The hostilities officially ended on June 24, 2025, following a ceasefire announcement. While Iran has denied the existence of a formal agreement, it acknowledged the cessation of military actions, marking the end of the “12 Day War.”

The Lebanese resistance and other progressive forces in the region have celebrated Iran’s resilience and military response, viewing it as a significant setback to Israeli and U.S. imperialist agendas. This episode underscores the ongoing struggle against foreign intervention and occupation, with Iran positioning itself as a defender of regional sovereignty and Palestinian liberation.

The false Israeli claims of assassinating Iran’s top military commanders were part of a broader propaganda effort to justify aggression and weaken Iranian morale. Iranian sources have decisively debunked these fabrications, reaffirming the survival and active leadership of their military officials.
